A 104-year-old copper heiress has been in the headlines lately, as reports had surfaced that her attorney and accountant may have committed some wrongdoing in the handling of her massive estate. Her attorney has adamantly denied the allegations. Now, the attorney has revealed that Huguette Clark, a recluse with an estimated $500 million fortune, does indeed have a will.

Manhattan prosecutors are currently investigating the finances and well-being of the heiress, who has lived in Beth Israel Medical Center for the past twenty years. She has not been seen in public in the last fifty years. She owns and staffs the largest co-op in New York and sprawling estates in Connecticut and California.

Last month it was reported that Clark's friends and household staff had not seen her in years. This prompted investigators to look into her well-being, as they feared she may be a victim of elder abuse.

A former paralegal for Clark's lawyer informed prosecutors that the lawyer repeatedly attempted to get Clark to sign codicils to her will that would make him and Clark's accountant beneficiaries. Clark was known to give her lawyer extravagant gifts, including at $10,000 dollhouse as a gift for his granddaughter.

However, her lawyer denies the accusations of his former paralegal and questions her credibility and motive. He maintains that he has acted in a professional manner and that the investigation will reveal that he acted appropriately.

Her lawyer would not reveal who is named a beneficiary of Clark's will, citing her strong desire for privacy.
